Electrophysiology Procedures
Dr Barlow has extensive experience in performing all types of electrophysiological procedure for indications including supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), atrial flutter, atrial tachycardia, atrial fibrillation (AF), ventricular ectopy and ventricular tachycardia (VT). He is also experienced in paediatric catheter ablation for supraventricular tachycardia and Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.

Starting in 2000, he was one of the first in Australia to perform ablation for AF. He has ensured that his techniques have remained current, by travelling as required to leading EP centres. His current approach to AF ablation is detailed here.

He has been a pioneer in cryoablation for arrhythmias in Australia, and remains one of the most experienced operators in cryoballoon ablation for AF. He has had the privilege of training a large proportion of the electrophysiologists in this country in this technique.
Cardioversions

Cardiac Implanted Device Clinics
Dr Barlow provides checks for pacemakers, defibrillators and insertable loop recorders in 4 separate locations - New Lambton, East Maitland, Singleton and Taree. Clinics are conducted weekly in New Lambton, and quarterly in the other locations. Devices from all manufacturers are able to be checked, and a remote monitoring service is available for these devices. Device clinic locations.

Pacemaker and Defibrillator Implants
In addition to the implantation of pacemakers, defibrillators and biventricular pacing devices, Dr Barlow has for a number of years been implanting subcutaneous defibrillators and leadless pacemakers. For more information click here.
